the Blog

At 3D-Memoirs, I share Memoirs of the 3 D’s: Decor, Design & DIY and how they are used in event planning. I aspire to be your source of inspiration and ideas for beautiful and creative event decor with an emphasis on DIY!

Over the past couple years creative and original event decor for parties, showers and weddings has been exploding in popularity.  Birthday parties with a homemade cake, some balloons and streamers, and cheap tablecloths have gone by the wayside. It almost appears that a competition has emerged to have the cutest and most creative theme with impressive decor elements that are sure to wow the guests! As the popularity and grandeur of events has increased, so has the number of emerging DIYers and the event decor businesses.

3D-Memoirs started as a Tumblr blog in 2010 with a few written posts and a lot of photoblogging (see archives tab). The site was completely made over in March 2012, and in the coming year you can expect to see more photo blogging, informative articles, Etsy Thursdays, Freebies, DIY tutorials, stylized shoots and real-life events!

As a 3D Memoirs reader, I invite you to share an event decor DIY tutorial or photos of a recent event you planned and decorated (please go to Submissions for details).  I am devoted to showcasing a variety of events and décor styles on this blog because I want to reflect the diversity of my readers and their individual styles, offering something for everyone.

I also invite you to connect with me on FACEBOOK, GOOGLE +, TWITTER, and PINTEREST, sign up to receive my blog posts via email (I will never share your email address), and share what you like with your circles, friends, and family!

I would LOVE your help in growing this blog, so please feel free to share my blog with others!
