Pantone Color of the Year–Spring 2013- Monaco Blue

Color makes the world go round and for the next 4 Thursdays, Sara Burnett from Burnett’s Boards (, and myself will each be sharing a Pantone color of the year for Spring 2013. Since Thursdays are typically Etsy Thursdays, I will be searching Etsy for the best wedding finds in a pre-selected Pantone color. Not only will we be sharing the hottest colors for Spring 2013, but we will also be creating a Pinterest board for each color and sharing some awesome inspirational pins for the Pantone colors! For those of you that may be wondering–what or who is Pantone–I pulled some information from their site ( Pantone LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of X-Rite, Incorporated, is the world-renowned authority on color and provider of color systems and leading technology for the selection and accurate communication of color across a variety of industries. The PANTONE® name is known worldwide as the standard language for color communication from designer to manufacturer to retailer to customer. Pantone is the authority on color and leads the following industries in color trends: graphic arts, fashion, home, interior, plastics, architectural, paint, industrial design and consumer markets.


PANTONE COLOR OF THE YEAR – MONACO BLUE  (Fashion Color Report for Spring 2013)

This shade of blue is described as a a “duller navy and cobalt hybrid” .
