Everyone LOVES weddings & so does 3D-Memoirs, but before you take the most anticipated walk down the aisle there’s a little celebratory event with close friends and family called the BRIDAL SHOWER! Today, I have the honor of sharing some amazing invitation “eye-candy” from one of our favorite sites: Wedding Paper Divas!! I hope you are as excited as I am to see some of the creative & lovely bridal shower invitations that Wedding Paper Divas offers–a perfect personal touch for those DIY Bridal Showers!
To add to this “eye-candy”, I will be sharing a couple of DIY ideas (found across the web) to incorporate with these lovely Bridal Shower invitations! Ready for some Bridal Shower inspiration?
Lovely vibrant punches of color makes this invitation perfect for a late Spring or Summer Bridal Shower. I am loving this fresh color scheme of soft mint punctuated with bright orange, yellow and cherry. A potential theme that comes to mind is “Summer Love” (or “Spring Love In Bloom” if you have it during the spring) and here are some DIY ideas to help you put this bridal shower together.
Bridal Shower Food & Drinks
For this “Summer Love” Bridal Shower a simple, light, & refreshing meal would be ideal. Here are some wonderful menu & drink options, courtesy of some of my favorite Pinterest pins!
Here is a sample health-conscious menu: finger sandwiches (pick your favorite meat(s) & bread(s) or offer a variety), veggie tray, mixed greens salad (add blueberries, strawberries, blackberries/raspberries) tossed with a light fruit vinaigrette, and these lovely fruit kebabs!
Below you will find some of my favorite Pinterest pins for drinks & libations. Whether you choose to add alcohol or not, these tasty drinks will go perfect with your “Summer Love” Bridal Shower theme!
To add to the summery charm, don’t forget to add colorful straws wrapped with the bridal shower details.
Bridal Shower Decor
Make a crepe paper backdrop, perfect to display behind the food/dessert table or as a funbackdrop for photos with the Bride.
Hang colorful paper lanterns and/or honeycomb tissue balls (see below) around the house/backyard/venue to decorate your event space with color. Use varying sizes, shapes, & patterns of orange, yellow, pink, white/creme, red, turquoise, & mint green to match the Wedding Paper Divas invitation!
It would be amazing if you could score mint green tablecloths to compliment the Wedding Paper Divas’ Bridal Shower invitation, but I realize that it is probably a difficult color to come across. Whether you rent linens or buy paper/plastic tablecloths I would recommend white, yellow, or ivory and utilize your decor to bring in the colorful elements.
For your table centerpieces, a simple touch of flowers will add a elegant element to this summer Bridal Shower. Here are a few simple yet beautiful examples of centerpieces that you can incorporate:
This lovely centerpiece combines colorful Gerbera Daisies in a tall vase lightly filled with rocks. The pop of color from the flowers and simplicity of the centerpiece definitely adds an elegant touch to your bridal shower decor.
This beautiful DIY centerpiece by Geranium Lake (featured on Hostess with the Mostess) is a simple and lovely centerpiece for a “Summer Love” Bridal Shower. Select beautiful & colorful wrapping paper to wrap around cylinder vases and/cans and add a beautiful trim with a complimentary ribbon. (You can probably substitute the wrapping paper for colorful fabric or layered tissue paper.)
Pick bright fruits that compliment this Wedding Paper Divas Bridal Shower invitation–strawberries, lemons, oranges, cherries–and fill (at varying heights) a couple vases for each table and add a few colorful flowers, rocks, gems/beads to the vase and VIOLA!
Loving the look of these mint to light green succulents in silver dishes as a centerpiece!
These monogrammed mugs filled with flowers make for beautiful centerpieces. Use bright and colorful flowers, or stick with white flowers if you have enough color infused throughout the room. If you don’t have these crafty mugs to use, simply substitute them for colored/painted pots, tin cans, or bark wrapped vases.
Bridal Shower Favors
For your guests favors, you can either fill a mini pillow pack with red hots (hearts) or a daisy favor box with colorful candy and personalize the label with “Summer Love is so Sweet” or the Bridal Shower details (date, bride’s name, etc)!
I hope you didn’t overdose on all the sweetness from the *eye-candy* provided above!
